<p>In the Charleston Metro area, including Summerville, SC, the weather is great and the market is improving.&nbsp; In fact, Carolina One <em>closed</em> sales volume was up&nbsp;23% in August compared to last year ...&nbsp;and 19% year to date.&nbsp;&nbsp; July was the only month in 2010 less than 2009 ... a direct reflection of May written business,&nbsp;down because contracts were "pushed forward" due to the April 30&nbsp;tax credit expiration.</p>
<p>Carolina One <em>written</em> business was up 10% in August compared to August 2009 and 14% year to date.</p>

<p>Boeing announced that they intend open a new facility in the Charleston area to fabricate interior parts for the 787 Dreamliner&nbsp;which will be assembled at the new&nbsp;Boeing plant under construction near the airport in North Charleston, S.C.</p>
<p>While the exact site hasn't been announced, the Boeing representative said the new plant will be located within 20 minutes of the assembly plant/airport and will employ as many as 150 workers.</p>
